David Jefferson Williams, Attorney at Law was born on the Quonset Point Naval Base in North Kingston Rhode Island, on October 24, 1954. After graduating from high school at New Orleans Academy in 1972, he received a B.A. in History from L.S.U. in 1976 and his law degree from L.S.U. Law School in 1979. He has been practicing law in Lake Charles since 1979. He became board certified as a Consumer Bankruptcy Specialist in 2002.

David is married to Lisbeth Smith Williams. They have one son, Paul, who is a Culinary major at Nicholls State University. David is a member of First Baptist Church in Lake Charles, where he serves as a deacon and a Sunday school teacher.
